A single act can change a world,
From the dreariest of days to the happiest moments,
Yet, each day we take it upon ourselves to be afraid.
Asking ourselves what if, what if, what if.
A single act can change a life,
Whether it’s helping feed a hungry boy,
Or helping someone up who has fallen,
Into the darkness that their life has wrought.

People end up surprising you,
Those people that you hardly knew,
Can change your world with a single act.
Then, you find yourself one day,
Choosing to be that person for another.
Reaching your hand out, not knowing what could happen.
But knowing what helped you see that light so long ago,

People choose to believe in you.
Even when you could not see it yourself,
One act can change the world.
A world that you make yourself.
